We ❤ Upstate NY.

We also love Instagram. We combined the two and found 7 local businesses you should be following on Instagram if you love the Capital Region.

1. Bake For You | @Bake4U

Looking for a place to grab a cup of coffee, sweet treat or a fresh salad check out their new location in Slingerlands, NY. They also have Sunday Night Yoga Sessions and Yappy Hour for your furry friends on Fridays from 4-6pm!

2. Frog Alley Brewing   | @frogalleybrewing

There's a new brewery in town that everyone is talking about! The brewery is named for an old-time baseball team in Schenectady that achieved national notoriety in 1903 when members were arrested for playing a game on a Sunday. Frog Alley host a variety of events each week including business networking meet ups, live music, Frogtoberfest (featuring bands, food trucks and vendors), and corn hole! Check out the space in Schenectady, NY and let us know what you think.

3. The Classic Crust | @Classiccrust

I had the pleasure of experiencing Classic Crust Catering at my Aunt and Uncles Anniversary party. They are a family owned business and you can tell they love what they do.  They have custom built a 1946 Classic Chevrolet truck which houses everything needed for the party including 3 beer taps, refrigeration, lighting, music, 4 custom built rustic tables and an Italian made wood fired oven from Mugnaini. Their speciality is pizza and salads but will customize your vision to your liking. If you are planning a gathering and want something low maintenance but leaves people talking about your day for years to come, check them out.

4. Yes Folk | @YesFolk

"Kombucha is a living fermented tea rich in probiotics and enzymes that goes way back to the Far East.  We make ours with organic, beyond-organic and/or wild harvested high-grade single origin teas.  The tea is brewed in ultra pure reverse osmosis water and combined with organic cane sugar before being transferred to American Oak barrels for fermentation."

Yes Folk is a family run business and  is open to the public for tasting Saturdays from 1-6pm in Troy, NY. They are currently selling all over the NY state and into Massachusetts and have plans to continue growing.

5. Field Notes  | @field_notes_ny

"Field Notes creates an experience that brings local food together with all food lovers. Our hyper-seasonal farm to table prefix menus are created using the harvest here on Lansing Farm, most of which can be seen from your seat at the table! Whether it’s a bushel or a peck, we hope your dinner with us gives you something to enjoy and remember." Friday- Sundays on Lansing Farm in Colonie, NY they host brunch and dinners constantly changing the menu based on the crops that are available on the farm. I love the concept and think we need to continue educating people on where their food is coming from and the work it takes to get it to your plate.  You can also find them at  Saturdays at Troy Farmers Market, Sunday brunch pop-ups at Unified Brewery, Different Drummers Kitchen, and events like the Harvest Evening Celebration with The Food Pantries and  Troy Chowderfest.

6.  |

"The Hot Yoga Spot is a hot yoga and barre fitness facility with give New York locations in Albany, Clifton Park, East Greenbush, Latham and Saratoga Springs. We offer a robust daily schedule with options for both beginner and advanced students. With 50 talented instructors and more than 200 weekly sessions, we are the coolest way to get hot. "  They also offer yoga retreats locally &  internationally and the opportunity to obtain your 200 hr teacher training course twice a year. Owner, Jessica Fuller is always finding ways to give back to different charities and bringing yoga around the community to other businesses. June Farms in West Sand Lake hosts a group of yogis out of the farm every Tuesday night that runs until the end of October.

7. Jerzys Dog Resort | @jerzeysdogresort

"Jerzey’s Dog Resort mission is to provide a safe, comfortable, attentive & fun environment for our doggie guests and also to develop a personal connection with our dog families so they feel good about leaving their dogs in our care. We create an intimate atmosphere by boarding only local dogs that will come back time and time again and by limiting reservations to about 18 dogs. Our modern, climate-controlled facility includes an indoor play yard for guaranteed play time and year-round comfort. We continue the fun outside with our enclosed play yards, kiddie pool and custom doggie jungle gym." If you are looking for a safe place to leave your dog for a long weekend or for weekly doggy day care drop off this is your place. Owner Kristine Lambracht is always investing back into her business to create the best environment for her furry friends. She is also a community leader in the Saratoga County region and holds a 5K walk each year at the Glens Falls  YMCA  donating all proceeds to SATO Project which is dedicated to rescuing abused and abandoned dogs from Puerto Rico.

Homes are popular on Instagram.

Quality images are equally as important in real estate. According to the CRD, homes with high-quality photography sell 32% faster and for more money. That's why every home we list receives both professional photography and marketing on Instagram.
